European actions designed to support the social inclusion of Roma residents

The article summarizes the main approaches used by the European Member States in dealing with the four key-intervention areas in the area of Roma inclusion, as mentioned in the "Roma in Europe: The Implementation of European Union Instruments and Policies for Roma Inclusion - Progress Report 2008-2010": education, employment, health and housing.The Conclusions Section stipulates the possible future implications and effects of discrimination on the quality of life for Roma inhabitants.
