Global temperatures are rising gradually, causing an increase in soil drought. Seed germination and seedling establishment are considered as major bottlenecks in the life history in many ecosystems, often limiting population expansion (Fay et al 2009,Dalgleish et al 2010). Pinus koraiensis is a dominant and constructive species of coniferous and broadleaf mixed forests widely distributed in cold-temperature zone in China. The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of an increasein temperature by4t or 6^ on seed germination and seedling emergence and early seedling growth of Pinus koraiensis.
