By the No. 2325 high earth pressure false-inclined fully mechanized caving face of Getting Coal Mine as the research object, using of rock structure exploration, finite difference numerical calculation and observation of deformation of surrounding rock, valuated the local caving danger of gateway roof, analyzed the mode and rang of failure of inclined gateway. The results indicated that, there is the danger of local caving of roof, rib spalling of caving face and slip failure of floor, during driving; in the range of lead abutment pressure, the risk of local caving and slip failure increased, during mining. According to the simulation results, put forward the support scheme for preventing appearance of the problems above. The field test showed that the support scheme is effective.
