Compact E-shaped monopole antenna for dual-band WLAN applications

摘要

A novel dual-band E-shaped monopole antenna is proposed for wireless applications in the 2.4/5.2GHz bands. To obtain the dual-band characteristic, two L-shaped stubs are added to a traditional monopole antenna. The proposed antenna is fed by coplanar waveguide. The antenna is simulated and measured. The measured results show that operating bands of the proposed antenna cover 2.3–2.7GHz and 5.0–5.4GHz with S11<−10dB, which can meet the requirement of WLAN applications.
