The spinning triangle is a critical area in the spinning process of staple yarns. Its geometry influences the distribution of fibre tension in the spinning triangle and the properties of spun yarns. In this paper, the quasistatic model for the distributions of fibre tension at the ring spinning triangle in a modified ring spinning system was given firstly. Then, the theoretical model of yarn torque duo to fibre tension in a tense yarn without relaxation was given correspondingly. However, the explicit solution of the yarn torque is difficult to get. Therefore, the numerical calculation will be discussed in our future study.
