Strategic Communication as a Path-creation Tool for Technological Latecomers

In this paper we are dealing with the role of societal communication as a path-creation tool for technological latecomers. One could say that developmental processes of the few successful technological latecomers are well documented. However, this issue is far from exhausted and it is worthwhile to continue this exploration, since it offers unique empirical evidence and enables insight into some of the universal questions in the field of technological development, complex causalities in developmental performance and also possibilities for contribution to more effective and efficient technological policies. Technological leap requires transformation of strategic processes and advanced communication between relevant strategic actors, who have to develop capacities to engage in sophisticated forms of interaction.
