Mapping Surveyed Geographic Information for Tracing Coastal Sand Beach Variation

Kenting National Park (KTNP) is located on the most southern part in Hengchuen Peninsula Island of Taiwan, and it is the only tropical climate area. There are many beaches in the park where are the important places to tourism and conservation studies. KTNP administration office offer new tourist spots and recreation area that increase the tourist population inevitably and will be able to bring the more recreation impact and economic activity for this area. Since Taiwan's Third nuclear energy power plant is under construction on a site near. The objectives of this research are to investigate the variation of sand beach change, and to study the trend of sand beach change in the future on the different management area. For grasp the sand beach change situation truly, This research collection meteorological data, and twenty times topographic survey and sand sieve analysis, Monitor from 2010 March to 2011 December are carried out at least once a month for Chu Shui Kou, Mao Bi Tou, Hou Bi Hu, Nan Wan, beaches in National Parkby using the results of the survey and the geography information data. To tracing the sand sieve analysis, the sand volume and particle size distribution of each beach are calculated for further study. This study shows that the sand beach has the change because of the natural condition, after seasonal cycle will restores the original condition. After the huge hydrology change, the sand beach change department is temporariness. But on the water actions frequency high Nanwan sand beach, the sand beach particle-size change compares change of the other various sand beaches to be smallfrom this research experiment. Typhoon and rainstorm significantly affect the beach's sand volume. But the downslope wind to sand beach the influence is few.
