Micro-environments of shoes cavity after strenuous exercise were simulated by using self-made experimental device. The moisture absorption and moisture desorption of the hemp/pet/cotton blend fabric with different content of hemp were investigated under different conditions of temperature and humidity. The result shows that hemp has very good moisture absorption and the highest evaporation rates among the three materials in the high humidity environment. It took less time for hemp to attain an equilibrium of water. These characteristics complement the hydrophobicity of polyester and the moisture liberation of cotton. Shoes with hemp/pet/cotton blend fabric could faster absorb the sweats in the shoes-cavity, and reduce the humidity effectively, then improve wearing comfort.
