OEB/FSB Type Rating Training considers Safe Operation including Crew Cooperation, but is not Command Training; Separation between Technical and Non-Technical skills is not supported by OEM. They are combined skills that can possibly be assessed separately; Checklist can not be designed for every conceivable failure, and do not cover multiple failures. Trust the Checklist until evidence exists that requires a deviation. Use Command decision making skills to deviate. Simulator scenarios should be realistic, both as scenarios and simulating failures, and can be checked for accuracy with OEM.
