Numerical Investigation of Azarakhsh MAV

Aerodynamic is one of the most important fields in fluid mechanics that has lots of applications in aerospace, automobiles and other industries. Among all its applications, the aerodynamics plays a major role in MAVs. Size and weight are two important factors in designing a MAV and the aerodynamics is a powerful tool in optimizing these factors. In this study, according to the Navier-Stokes equations for the 3D, steady, compressible and viscid flow, the air flow around a MAV named Azarakhsh has been simulated numerically using commercial code for the purpose of calculating the lift and drag force exerting on it. Also the lift and drag has been compared with the equations that had been used in theory to define the error of design equations.
