Activate modern sulfur cure systems in sponge applications using Rhenogran~R Geniplex-70 (zinc dicyanato diamine). Rhenogran~R Geniplex-70 (zinc dicyanato diamine) offers several advantages when used in conjunction with a nitrosamine free sulfur cure system in cell forming applications. It can be used as the main activator in forming consistent cells in EPDM sponge applications. The zinc dicyanato diamine does not generate nitrosamines nor does it have any other potential health risks associated with it. During the curing reaction the zinc dicyanato diamine releases two ammonia molecules meaning that it can make its own cell structure without the addition of other cell producing agents. This advantage can be used to reduce the weight and specific gravity in compounds that are not normally considered sponge compounds. Finally zinc dicyanato diamine can improve the overall cure characteristics of the accelerator system by reducing the scorch variation and activating the final cure level of the compound.
