Catalogers and semantic environment of RDA

摘要

This paper briefly describes the most important resources in the area of information resources organization and retrieval (RDA) summary of advantages and application of, and from the perspective of discusses the difficulty of understanding the RDA. The author suggests that catalogers should take countermeasures under the new circumstances. For a long time, the libraries in China have been adopting the means of CN-MARC to arrange and manage the traditional literature resources. Meanwhile, through digitalizing the traditional resources and purchasing commercial database, the libraries have built a combined type of management. With the increasing digital resources, it becomes more and more important to mange them by describing. The management of CN-MARC cannot meet the requirement of describing and managing the digital resources. So, the appearing of RDA provides a new path to the management of the library under the semantic environment.
