In order to construct a low-priced, reliable video-intercommunication system and meet the requirements of safety and information in an intelligent community, bus technology and one of its settling programs - CAN technology are investigated. After analyzing the defects of RS485 in master-slave mode, control network of equivalent mode in multiple computers communication is proposed. Dynamic time delay control is proved to be more efficient than constant time delay in equivalent mode and is more suitable in a video-intercommunication system. Based on present situation and development tendency of intelligent building systems, CAN+RS485 bottom network is designed and improved to achieve the control network of a video-intercommunication system.
