The Research on Software of Individual Characters Recognition about the Naxi Pictographs Based on Net and Chain Code

摘要

Boundary processing includes boundary extraction and boundary representation. It is a basic research in image processing and analysis and is also a problem which isn't complete solved. Boundary is a small part of image and is also an important feature of image. In the last decades, a number of image boundary representation procedures have been proposed, such as the chain code, directed graphs, Fourier series, etc. Chain code techniques are widely used in the study and using of the image for they preserve information and allow considerable data reduction. Meanwhile, the Nakhi pictographs are presented in order to implement the application of the chain code. The technical research and the application of chain code can accelerate the further study about the Naxi Nationality culture as well. It so necessary for smooth interaction between peoples and cultures in the modern world, thus advance harmonious society progress of the Chinese nation.
