i. In 2012 Poland’s overall renewable energy sources capacity increased by 42 % to an estimated of 4,4 GW. With major investments that still await Poland in order to fulfil 3x20 requirements and completely new renewable supporting mechanism to be introduced as of 2014 interest of investors in Poland is as high as ever. Still, the Polish market’s structure and legal environment highly differs from western EU markets which is clearly pictured by the fact, that only 1,2 MW of the abovementioned renewables capacity comes from PV plants and virtually none from offshore wind sources or micro-generation. As a result investors find it difficult to answer the fundamental question: “Is it the right time to invest in Poland?”
