Absent a directly applicable SC structure nuclear code, it is necessary to demonstrate that long-term reliability of SC structures is equivalent to that achieved by mature and established design codes for traditional steel or concrete structures. Quantitative structure reliability assessments are typical requirement for structures designed to European standards such as EUROCODEs. The purpose of this work is to identify a methodology for performing long term reliability assessment for an AP1000 Structural Module using EUROCODE guidance. The intent is to outline a methodology for applying the EUROCODE reliability methodology to the AP1000 SC structures and provide sample application to confirm how long term reliability is already implicitly included in the design margin of the nuclear specific design codes and standards.
