Nowadays study of Arctic regions is one of the priority development lines in Russia. Mapping and further monitoring of bottom ecosystems is one of the engineering ecological objectives that is to be fulfilled while developing Arctic shelves. Therefore issues of structure and distribution studying of bottom sediments and biotopes are not new. Such objectives appear at natural areas of protection, during construction at a shelf etc. Also it should be mentioned that geohazards are often widespread at water areas, for example, landslides, that can constitute a threat for already completed buildings. This work is written on the basis of materials received at the Rugozerskaya bay, the Karelian shore. Studies were performed in a shallow inner part of bay at the area of much dissected fiard-skerry shelf. Here the Rugozerskaya bay is partitioned by “archipelago” of islets, corgs and shoals among which the biggest elevation is the island Vysokiy (the length is about half a kilometer).
