摘要

The design of cathodic protection systems for offshore pipelines generally follows design parameters from DNV, ISO or in many cases in-house standards prepared by the pipeline owners/owners. Onshore pipelines follow very different and less defined standards and parameters. The interfacing between the onshore and offshore pipeline can therefore lead to a number of challenges and conflicting requirements. This paper is aimed at highlighting the potential issues, the design approaches which can be considered, and the factors affecting the final design.
