Corrosion is the main factor which influences the reliability and the remaining life of the mixed transmission underground pipeline.Since this research is in the initial stage in China,it’s necessary to calculate the remaining life of the corroded pipeline and research on it.This paper firstly reviewed some kinds of the remaining life calculation models,where the characteristics of the mixed transmission pipeline and the difficulties to calculate the remaining life are considered.Secondly,several influencing factors of mixed transmission underground pipeline corrosion are summarized,such as the soil surroundings,material characteristic,manufacturing process,transmission medium,leading pressure state and the parameter of the anticorrosion in and out.Finally,the remaining life of the mixed transmission underground pipeline is predicted using this approach,and the results are in accord with the real conditions.
