摘要

A compact uniplanar stepped impedance dipole antenna for 2.4 GHz WLAN application is presented. This antenna resonates at its fundamental frequency with excellent suppression of higher harmonics. The proposed antenna has an overall dimension of 45 × 12 × 1.6 mm3when fabricated on a substrate of relative dielectric constant 4.4 with a loss tangent of 0.02. The antenna offers good radiation characteristics with reasonable gain. The simulated and measured radiation characteristics of the antenna are presented in detail.
