In this paper, a CPW crescent-shaped reconfigurable antenna using fractal geometry is proposed and studied. Six pin diodes are used on the surface of the crescent-shape radiating patch iterated to the third order to create frequency reconfigurability. The antenna covers most of the existing wireless and mobile frequency band allocations from 1.52 GHz to 10.95 GHz, with relative impedance bandwidths of around 2.7 and 26.61%. The overall dimension of the proposed antenna is 25×31×1.524 mm 3. The proposed antenna is a good candidate for multiband applications due to its advantages of compactness, simple structure, low cost, and ease of fabrication.
