摘要

Simulation model representation is the core element to influence simulation development. This paper summarizes the fundamental simulation model formalism from the system point of view. It includes basic model, composite model and scenario model. It also presents rigorous formal specification. An XML based simulation language XSimL, which supports model knowledge concise representation, is designed based on simulation model formalism. The paper also discusses the corresponding relationship between XSimL and simulation model formalism and details the syntax and semantics of elements in XSimL. Then XSimL simulator, which is capable of automatically interpreting and executing simulation model represented by XSimL, is designed, Finally the paper presents a differential equation model, built by XSimL and executed by XSimL simulator.
