摘要

We have created a new critical size defect model in rat muscle that can be used for assessment of repair strategies for VML injury. Our results suggested that M-ECM is a promising scaffolding material to improve muscle functional recovery after VML injury. Future studies will investigate more candidate scaffolding materials, as well as improving generation of muscle fibers in M-ECM by co-delivery of progenitor cells.
