Effects of Addition of Nano-scale Silica Filler on Erosion, Tracking Resistance and Hydrophobicity of Silicone Rubber

摘要

This paper deals with effects of addition of nano-silica filler on erosion and tracking resistance, arcing resistance, flame resistance, and hydrophobicity of silicone rubber. The inclined plane test, the arcing resistance test, the flame resistance test and a static contact angle measurement were performed. As a result, it was elucidated that the addition of small amount of nano-silica filler is able to increase erosion and tracking resistance, arcing resistance, and flame resistance.
