Silicone rubber material containing structurally-modified hydrophobic silica in addition to the organopolysiloxane component. Silicone rubber materials (I) containing 0.5-60 wt% hydrophobic, structurally-modified silica and 40-99.5 wt% organopolysiloxane of formula ZnSiR3-n-O-(SiR2O)x-SiR3-nZ'n (II), in which R : 1-50C alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, oxime or acetoxy groups (optionally substituted with O, S, F, Cl, Br or I), and/or polystyrene, polyvinyl acetate, poly(meth)acrylate or polyacrylonitrile residues with 40-10000 repeat units; Z : OH, Cl, Br, acetoxy, amino, aminoxy, oxime, alkoxy, amido, alkenyloxy, acryloxy or phosphate residues in which the organic residues have up to 20 carbon atoms; Z' : oxime, alkoxy, acetoxy, amino or amido; n : 1-3; x : 100-15000. An independent claim is also included for room temperature-vulcanising, one-component silicone rubber materials (RTV-1K) as above, containing structurally-modified hydrophobic silica.
