Shared understanding is necessary to permit a unifying framework serving as the basis of communication between people, interoperability between systems, and other system engineering benefits such as reusability, reliability, and specification. Bridging systems to work together is increasingly becoming essential for leveraging the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and reaching common goals. Semantic sharing represents the daunting barrier for making these systems work together. On the other hand the emergence of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Knowledge Management Systems over the past few years has changed the scenario. It has overcome the limitations of the conventional knowledge management systems. The existing solutions based on P2P system such as Napster or Guntella[1] provide limited support in information and KM sharing. These drawbacks make the current P2P systems unsuitable for knowledge sharing purposes. Many serious theoretical researches on ontologies were healed to bridge the semantic mismatching problems; the aim of this study is to discuss the semantic sharing problem between different kinds of ontologies. The research focuses on a combination of Description Logics and extending Logics to solve the semantic mismatching between ontologies. We discussed the power and the potential of adding time in the logical concepts relations as a restriction in deferent kinds of ontologies Semantic mismatching and then we focused on P2P ontologies, which offer autonomy and low cost updating.
