The results of virtual prototyping of yielding arch support under dynamic load resulting from the pass of high-loaded suspended monorails are presented in the paper. Results of dislocations were compared with the dynamic loads obtained according to PN-92IG-15000I05 Standard. Numerical analyses were made for a selected critical state, in which overloads to support arches, e.g. emergency braking during movement on inclinations, can appear. Simulations were made for different values of overloads. Limit values of loads causing local loss of stability of arch support were calculated. Due to continuous increase of weight of loads transported by suspended monorails, in some geological-and-mining conditions yielding support can be reinforced by a bolting system. Obtained results can be used in a designing process of arch supports. Analyses were made with use of the Finite Elements Method.
