Natural and mixed convection generated transient velocity and temperature fields in rectangular enclosures and channels containing liquid metal (lead-bismuth) and solid partitions (steel) were numerically predicted with computational fluid dynamics model based on finite volume method. The developed model takes into account variable properties of the liquid metal and conjugated heat transfer in enclosures and channels with solid partitions between them.
