This paper presents a heat transfer correlation developed from the Reichardt profile, the Kader correlation and a scaling similar to the inner scaling of Wang. The novelty of this correlation is that it is not just a function of the non-dimensional wall distance y~+ but, in a similar way to Wang, also the non-dimensional velocity u~+ and temperature T~+ in wall units. The correlation coefficients are derived based on DNS heated channel flow data for a wide range of Prandtl numbers (0.025 < Pr < 10). The correlation is shown to capture the change in slope of the logarithmic region observed in the natural convection boundary layer experiment of Tsuji, a feature the functions based on the non-dimensional wall distance y~+ cannot capture.
