摘要

Traveling wave effect analysis is a seismic response analysis method which takes the influence of seismic wave traveling direction and speed into account. To bridge like structures, the effect of seismic wave would be significant. In this paper, the travelling wave effects analysis is conducted with large-mass method on a 180 meters span arch truss that span across a deep pit with its foundations lay on different sides of the pit. Comparing with the coincident earthquake excitation, the result shows the internal force of upper chords, lower chords and web members are all increased. And the rate of increase is different from place to place. The conclusion could be draw that the impact of traveling wave effects should be take into account in this project.
