CARDIFRC - From Concept to Industrial Application

摘要

This paper gives an overview of the development of CARDIFRC, which is a high-performance fiber-reinforced cement-based material, from the stage of conception to its eventual application in industry. It will highlight the important changes that had to be made to the original CARDIFRC mixes in order for them to be acceptable to the industry. The changes were necessitated not only by cost considerations, but also by health and safety concerns.
