In this paper we present for the first time a reliable mixed-signal multi-core architecture for SoCs based on a distributed analog artificial hormone system. This mixed-signal architecture is able to distribute tasks not only between analog cores but also between analog and digital cores including the transfer of internal states of the tasks. We demonstrate the functionality using two examples: a PID controlled robot arm and an analog filter bank. The results indicate a perfect state transfer enabling a seamless switch of the task from an analog to a digital core.
