Mining with low profile crushers: The experience at Codelco Chile

Since 2002, there have been many technological innovation projects related to the use of the technology of mineral sizers in underground mining operations using block/panel caving. Successful industrial tests have been developed on the basis of these projects, at Codelco's Andina Division, using this type of equipment. Although the mineral sizers were initially developed for the processing of soft minerals, mainly coal, today this technology presents an interesting alternative for incorporation into the material handling in copper mining.
