Synthetic helical polyisocyanides with preferred handedness are of continuing interest due to their applications in enantiomeric separation,asymmetric catalysis,and chiral recognition.1 Polyisocyanides usually prepared by the living/controlled polymerization of appropriate isocyanides monomer with transition metals complexes as initiator/catalyst.Although Pd(Ⅱ)-Pd(Ⅱ)2 heteronuclear complex (1a) is an effective initiator for the polymerization of aryisocyanides,however,no polymerization was observed for the similar mononuclear Pd complex 1b,1c,and the di-palladium complex 1d (Figure 1).Therefore,explore novel Pd catalyst without the expensive Pt moiety for efficiently initiate the living polymerization of isocyanides is of great interest.
