Preparation and Characterization of Chiral Polysilsesquioxanes and Silicas

Helix exits everywhere in nature,which has a strong relationship with the origin of life on Earth.During the last decades,varieties of single-handed helical silica and polysilsesquioxane nanofibers and nanotubes have been prepared by transferring the chirality of organic self-assemblies.Recently,our group focused on preparing aromatic ring bridged polysilsesquioxanes using the self-assemblies of low molecular weight amphiphiles as templates through sol-gel transcription approaches.
