摘要

Functional graded parts offer new possibilities for a resource-conserving production of innovative products. The manufacturing process planning for these graded components requires new methods for the integration of geometrical information and property values in one component model. The feature-based approach for the component description characterized in this paper allows the integration of all the information about the component geometry and the corresponding graded properties in one model. With regard to an automated process planning the use of feature technology enables a computer-aided planning of manufacturing processes. Within an expert system all required information about the manufacturing processes and the component properties is linked. The featured-based component description includes all necessary information for the planning of functional graded parts in one model.
