To prevent glycerol as a by-product in biodiesel production, a non-catalytic supercritical methyl acetate method has been developed earlier in our laboratory. In this study, therefore, some factors affecting the yield of products from this process were evaluated. It was, consequently, found out that reaction temperature, reaction pressure, molar ratio of methyl acetate to oil, and reaction time were important factors to be considered for product yield in biodiesel production by interesterification.
