he supercritical water-cooled reactor has been selected as one of the most promising reactors forGeneration Ⅳ nuclear reactors due to its higher thermal efficiency and more simplified structurecompared to state-of-the-art LWRs. However, there are a large number of potential problems needed tobe dealt with, particularly the structure design of supercritical fuel assembly. In this paper, the presentstatus of supercritical fuel assembly design at home and abroad is studied. According to the specialrequirements of supercritical core design, a new design of fuel assembly cluster with two-pass corearrangement is proposed. The results have shown that, the design basically meets the requirements offuel assembly design, which has good feasibility and performance.
