摘要

Our study aimed at evaluating the presence of comorbidity between patients with eating disorder (ED) and bipolar disorder (BD). According to DSM-IV criteria, 40 patients fulfilled the diagnosis of ED and 41 patients the diagnosis of BD. All the subjects participating in the study completed the Hypomania Checklist (HCL-32), focusing on past overactivity; the personality dimensions were assessed by the Temperament and Character Inventory Revised (TCI-R);TCI-R revealed the presence of higher scores for the dimension of "persistence" in the group with ED than in the group with DB. No statistically significant differences were found between the two experimental groups regarding the presence of hypomanic episodes.
