The Influences and the Mechanism of Action of Grinding Aid Agent During Micro Fine Particle of Lean Hematite Ore of Grinding Operation

In this paper, the effect of citric acid on the hematite was studied and the mechanism was analyzed. The results indicated that under the condition of the optimal grinding medium, compared with the result without citric acid added, with citric acid added at the mass of 0.10% of the hematite, the content of -0.074mm of grinding production was increased by 7.11%; physical adsorption and chemical adsorption which were on the surface of hematite produced by citric acid can reduce viscosity of grinding pulp, change surface potential of the hematite, and reduce the hardness on the surface of the hematite. Therefore citric acid can improve the grinding efficiency of the hematite. Our country can use in industry of the iron ore types, including hematite ore accounted for 18%, mainly occurs in the sedimentary type, weathering leaching type and metamorphosed sedimentary type, and the volcano intrusive activities related to iron ore deposits, which belongs to the refractory mineral, mainly distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia province (area). The characteristics of China's hematite ore is: large reserves, low grade, fine particle size distribution, complex composition, mineral processing technology economics etc.
