The Relationship Between The Requirement Of Underground Space And Ground Space: The Main City Of Nanjing

With the development of urban area, its scale and aggregation effected continue to increase. Besides, the increase in land prices and building density, functional needs and so on make great efforts in forcing to develop the underground space which provides the functions such as urban transportation, shopping, culture, entertainment, catering and so on. Taking the main city of Nanjing as example, the paper discusses the problems and current situation, the relationship between underground space and ground space in terms of requirements and space layout, proposes the requirements and layout of underground space should meet the scarcity of functional layout of the ground above.
