Worktable is the key weight bearing part of the screw rotor grinder. Its vibration deformation has an obviously effect on the accuracy of the workpiece. Improving its dynamic characteristics can help to improve the machining accuracy. In this paper, the analysis of the dynamic characteristics was carried out by ANSYS. Three optimal measures were proposed, and the final optimal solution is obtained by comparing the two improved schemes of the three measures respectively. The results show that the central part of the worktable is the weak point as well as the right end (to install the tailstock). By adding longitudinal ribs, increasing the thickness of the ribs, reducing the thickness of the wall, the first three orders natural frequency of the worktable increased 4.21%, 6.59%, and 4.68% respectively, while the worktable's mass reduced 1.58%. The solution can effectively improve the dynamic performance of the worktable, and save the cost of the production.
