摘要

1 Introduction High powered pulsed xenon lamp is used in laser inertial confinement fusion research as the optical pump source [1,2]. And the cathode is very important for the performance of xenon lamp when operated as pump sources of lasers. Tungsten doped with rare earths such as Thorium and Cerium have been traditionally used for the xenon lamp cathode. And with the development of new material and technology new tungsten electrode doped with other rare earth elements has been developed. Therefore it is meaningful to study the performance of new material for high powered pulsed xenon lamp cathode.
