The PVB/ β-CD/silica nanofiber in the ratio of β-CD:PVB=l :3 and doping 5% nano-silica was fabricated by electrospinning techniques at 18 kV of the applied voltage. The morphologies and structures of PVB/β-CD/silica nanofibers were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). Chimb-shaped PVB/β-CD composite nanofiber was observed by SEM. The FTIR results showed that β-CD is present in PVB fiber matrix. EDS analyses of PVB/β-CD and PVB/β-CD/ silica nanofibers reveal the presence of Si in PVB/β-CD/ silica nanofiber.
