Ionospheric total electron content (TEC) can be calculated using the GPS observations of IGS station. This article analyzes the TEC's change in response to Solar eclipses. The result shows: (1) Comparing with the same time the day before, obvious reduction happened in ionospheric vertical TEC. (2) An analysis of the slant TEC of satellite's transmit path shows: from first contact to last contact during solar eclipse, the change reached the maximum when third contact and then began to recover, (3) The time when the ionospheric TEC change coincided with Solar eclipse happened in different city, for example Shanghai and Wuhan. (4) The level of TEC's reduction in Beijing, the area where partial solar eclipse could be observed was less than that of the area where total solar eclipse happened.
