System Dynamics Study of Garment Supply Chain Based on VMI Model

摘要

To investigate the dynamic feedback and operational efficiency of supply chain based on the VMI (vendor managed inventory) model, a system dynamics simulation model is built. Through simulation, a quantitative comparison of the orders and inventory of the supply chain is carried out both under the non-VMI and the VMI model. The results show that, compared to the traditional supply chain operation, the vendor managed inventory can effectively decrease the bullwhip effect of garment supply chain, reduce inventory and order fluctuations of each member of the supply chain, and enhance the risk resistance of each node.
