In this research the corrosion behavior of low carbon steel that are being applied in distillation unit of refining in sour water stream, has been studied. Change in the feed of refining is one of the reasons for producing many corrosion problems in this industry, with change of this factor the main parameters such as sulfur and naphthenic acid are change. The corrosion properties of low carbon steel in both sour waters of vacuumed distillation over head and atmospheric distillation overhead have been studied, using weight loss and potentiostatic polarization measurements. Results shown; increasing the sulfur content and acidity of water or rotation speed in weight loss test will result in increasing of corrosion rate.
