The paper describes the Eurocodes implementation process adopted by the Highways Agency (HA). It explains the objectives and principal aspects of the HA's strategy and key findings of some of the studies undertaken. The scope of application of the Eurocodes on Highways Agency schemes is also discussed. The process that has been followed for updating the Design Manual for Road and Bridges (DMRB) is explained, together with the current status of relevant documents and plans for the future.
