Application of EGLAs on 132 kV 500 kV Overhead Lines in Malaysia - (PPT)

摘要

This paper describes the application of EGLA in TNB Transmission specifically the 132kV Kuala Krai - Gua Musang and 500kV Ayer Tawar - Bukit Tarek lines which has experienced a very high number of lightning related trippings. Different approaches were applied to those two lines as the 132kV line was already installed with EGLA since 2007 but still experiencing lightning flashovers whilst the 500kV is an ongoing study to install arresters to reduce the number of tripping due to lightning.
