Advantages of Dry Type Cable Terminations up to 170 kV - (PPT)

Over the last decades Pfisterer Ixosil was an independent manufacturer of high voltage cable joints and terminations from 72.5 kV up to 300 kV for various cable manufacturers worldwide. The standard design of outdoor terminations is based on a hollow core insulator made out of porcelain or fiberglass reinforced tubes covered by silicone sheds. These hollow core insulators are equipped with a geometrical field control element made out of silicone and insulating liquid or gas.
